The Sundowners

The Sundowners are predominantly an Irish music band with a bit of country threw in for good measure. The Sundowners are a seven piece acoustic band made up from mature musicians with one main thing in common, a passion and love of playing music live.

The set (times of which can be tailored to needs of wherever we play) which has often been described as "vibrant", is simply a good old fashioned "sing-along drink-along" played with an "energy" you simply can't help but tap your foot to and enjoy. 

The Sundowners are currently based and playing in the Northwest of England but are willing to travel an play anywhere (so long as there's a Bar), so whether it be Pub, Club, Festival, Charity gigs, in a field or on a roof; let The Sundowners make your night one to remember!

A good old-fashioned guitar-based Rock and Roll band, based in the Valleys of South Wales, but willing to travel.

With a comprehensive repertoire, encompassing all of Rockabilly, Rock and Roll genres through the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970's, with material from artistes as diverse as Carl Perkins & Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison to The Searchers, Cliff & The Shadows, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, through Status Quo to T Rex.

Performance usually comes in 2 sets, each of 45 minutes (although not strict clock-watchers, so often play for longer) and provide our own backline and PA system.

The Hawks have a professional outlook, and look smart, as well as perform to a high standard.

Available for Weddings, Corporate events and themed "Rock and Roll" events, as well as social clubs and pubs.

 Epiphany

Epiphany is a five piece alternative-rock band making waves in the Manchester music scene, with the most talented musicians and a voice brought in from the east an awe-inspiring show is always expected.

Epiphany was formed in October 2005 under the name Gavér, starting out as a cover band. They soon realised that this was not the path for them, and they started to create their own music. After experimenting with a new, unique sound, the band renamed themselves, Epiphany and proudly finished their first single (Desert Light) in late 2005. Soon after this, the band made it to the final of a city wide music competition. The group then spent the next few months, through to the middle of spring 2006, developing their sound and identity.

After more live gigs and several successful competitions, the band won two days recording time in the highly regarded Inch Studios, Manchester. Inch had worked with such artists as Harry Hill and Moby and now helped Epiphany put together their first, three-track EP.

Winter 2006 arrived, and a change to the original band line up had been made, with Danny Alexander taking the place of former drummer, Adam Paulden. Epiphany was now ready to explode onto the Manchester music scene.

After just seven shows, starting out at The Witchwood in Ashton, to headlining at Manchester’s Club Academy and appearing on BBC Radio Manchester, Epiphany were approached by Joanne Pendlebury of Red Shoes Management. Joanne decided to work with the band after attending their third gig, sharing their vision of all the music’s potential. Now, with the combined drive of RSM’s hard work and dedication and the increasing passion found within the band, Epiphany were been requested to gig as far as Lancaster University.

The band were also being requested to headline at bigger venues now, such as Manchester’s Academy 3 by promoters V Man Events who have worked with bands such as The Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Elliot Minor and You Me At Six. The band also went on to support Oceansize at  the Outside @ Urbis festival in Manchester town centre, July 2007. Epiphany were becoming the sought after band.

August 2007 saw Epiphany head into Blueprint Studios to record two more tracks (My Alternative & I Pray), part of their new EP and further adding to the upcoming album.

This was an exciting time for the band as they received a preliminary publishing contract from Manchester’s leading publishing company, The City Is Ours Music, which was later made into a more long term contract as of January 2008.

In October 2007, Epiphany was chosen by the head of Visible Noise Records (Bullet For My Valentine, Lost prophets and Bring Me The Horizon) to play at their annual Fuse music festival on 2nd November 2007. This took place at Shepherds Bush Empire in London, where they supported well known Japanese rock band Dir En Grey and punk rock band Beat Union.

Through January 2008, Epiphany recorded their long awaited, 10 track, debut album ‘Apart From Here’, again at Blueprint Studios.

This album was later released in HMV Manchester, Piccadilly Records, iTunes, HMV Digital, Virgin Media, Napster and over 150 other online stores on July 7th 2008. The band set out to begin playing nationally in July. After which Epiphany decided part ways with Red Shoes Management.

After playing nationally for several months through to the autumn of 2008, Epiphany was approached by an A&R Scout belonging to the JAR Music Group. The band was asked to perform at their unsigned showcase in front of label executives and various other important figures in the industry.

Currently the band are in contract talks for a Production deal with two influential producers, sharing they're vision of the future.
